More than 20 firefighters tackling a barn fire in Essex have been forced to carry out a controlled burning.
The building at Stow Maries near South Woodham Ferrers contained hay and 30 tonnes of ammonium nitrate fertiliser, which have been lost.

St Peter’s High School has received a substantial cash grant to boost its technology lessons.
It is hoped the upgraded equipment that can now be provided will help the Burnham school’s bid for specialist status in technology.
